I used several methods to remove the unwanted hair on my body that seemed to be a nuisance and sometimes embarrassing.
Waxing, shaving, electrolysis and traditional laser seemed not to work well on me until when a professional expert offered me an advice to try IPL. “The best and most effective way of permanently removing unwanted hair from the skin is by use of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL).
The IPL normally emit short pulses of light that penetrate deep in to the skin layers producing well regulated heat which destroys all the hair-producing follicles.” These statements sounded great to me and with the benefits of IPL highlighted, yes, why not try for me!
IPL laser hair removal systems are more flexible as compared to other hair removal methods. The parameters are set to suit a particular individual depending on their skin color and age. These parameters basically include the wavelength, the energy level and the time one is exposed to the intense pulsed light. These parameters are carefully set to destroy hair follicles in the skin layer and the same time aiming to protect the surrounding tissues and cause as little damage as possible.
The IPL laser hair removal has been designed to produce a large spectrum of light that covers a large surface area of the skin in a very short period of time, since the treatment is charged per pulse of light emitted to the skin on every session this makes it much cheaper and convenient.
If you need long-term results of getting rid of unwanted hair from the body then IPL is the best choice. The results normally vary between the individuals and how well the patient responds to the treatment. Personally I attended six treatment sessions and the result was perfect. I have not experienced again hair growth in my body and I think this was a permanent solution for me. It is advisable for one to attend all the sessions for long-term results.
The IPL laser machines also make use of filters which ensures that optimum wavelengths are delivered to the target skin area with unwanted hair, the filters also protects and makes sure there is minimum damage to the skin and the surrounding tissues.
IPL hair removal can be performed anywhere on the skin surface including the face and can cover large areas of the skin quickly.
The IPL hair removal treatment is safe when performed by experienced therapist and who make use of quality equipment. It does not require recovery time and I felt less pain during the treatment. I imagine this goes for all beauty salon equipment. It would have to be safe to use on clients in order for people to pay for the service right?
Although I experienced some slight redness around the treated area immediately after the treatment, the redness disappeared within a short period of time.
